The Bantam AE team won the
Bradford Blue and Gold tournament held October 12-14. After a blazing start with 7-0 and 6-0 victories, tougher games followed with a 2-2 tie and then a come from behind 5-4 OT semi-final victory against local rival Clarington. The final was another hard-fought battle against Windsor Spitfires, ended by Jacob Sharpe with just over 30 seconds left in the game.
Congratulations to the entire team, and in particular both goalies, Austin Frost with one shutout and Giorgio Calvo with two. Highlights included Shane Reilly's semi-final tying shorthanded goal in the last minute, Jacob Sharp's two game winners and Cam Mullin's game one hattrick.
