Minor Bantam AAA Generals Win Oshawa Challenge Championship
The Oshawa Minor Bantam AAA Generals won their hometown tournament this past weekend. The team went a perfect 6 – 0.
In round robin play they defeated the North Bay Trappers 4 – 2, Nickel City Sons 5 – 3, Timmins North Stars 2 – 1 and Soo Greyhounds 8 – 1. In the Semi Final game they again played the Nickel City Sons and came away with a 5 – 2 win, before defeating the Hamilton Huskies 5 – 1 in the Championship game.
The coaching staff have been very proud all season of the players dedication to teamwork, and their determination and hard work both on-and-off the ice. Their efforts were rewarded in this tournament. Thank you to all the fellow OMH parents, relatives and families who cheered us on.
We were blown away with how many people watched our games and stopped our staff, players and parents with comments about how hard our team plays and how much fun we are to watch. We hope to build on that reputation over the remainder of this season and in the years moving forward.
