Read it, see it, and believe it! They came.
They saw. They conquered. In an epic trip to Toronto, Ontario – Hockey Centre
of the Universe, our home town Oshawa Minor Generals faced off on one of the NHL’s
premier stages – the Air Canada Centre’s main ice, and home of the legendary Toronto
Maple Leafs. Sponsored by sportswear
corporate giant, Under Armour, the Gens played shoulder to shoulder with the AAA
York Simcoe Express, walking away with top prize in a highly competitive province-wide
hockey challenge of nearly 100 teams!

With all-day coverage by TV news station CP24, and in front of live cameras and reporters, the Generals moved into “3rd Period” action of the Under Armour Toronto Maple Leafs “Storm the Centre” challenge. Our Generals joined forces for a day with one of Ontario’s top ranked AAA teams and won the UA Maple Leaf Cup, taking the top prize of box seat tickets to an NHL Maple Leafs hockey game at none other than hockey “mecca” – Air Canada Centre. The Gens showcased spectacular hockey for the night through outstanding offence, dazzling defense and great goaltending.
Thanks to the Oshawa Minor Hockey Association who provided transportation to the ACC, to the coaches who prepared our winning team for competition, the manager who coordinated the team's participation, to Under Armour and the Toronto Maple Leafs organizations who sponsored the event, to all volunteers and supporters, and to the team's # 1 Fans - the parents, family and friends.
Congratulations to the outstanding Oshawa Minor Generals Bantam AE team on your amazing achievment. You have made all of the above-mentioned, as well as the City of Oshawa, very proud. You've carved an unforgettable moment in time for yourselves…and for us all.
GOGENSGO!!!
