The host Ajax Knights and the Bantam A Oshawa Minor Generals will be joined by a trio of teams from the Lakeshore League, and a trio of teams from the York-Simcoe Hockey League in the upcoming Break the Ice Tournament from September 7-10...
The Lakeshore League will be represented by 5 teams that include the Oshawa Minor Gens, the host Ajax Knights, the Northumberland Nighthawks, the Kingston Canadians, and the defending OMHA Finalist Quinte West Hawks.
The York-Simcoe League will be sending three teams - the Bradford Bulldogs, Newmarket Redmen, and Markham Waxers.
Pool A will be split down the middle with the Ajax Knights and Quinte West Hawks representing the Lakeshore, and the Bradford Bulldogs and Markham Waxers representing York-Simcoe.
Pool B will see the Minor Gens joined by the Northumberland Nighthawks and Kingston Canadians from the Lakshore, and the Newmarket Redmen from York-Simcoe
The tournament looks like it will be a great challenge for all, and a great kick-off for the upcoming 2017-18 hockey season!
