The Gens dominated their game 5-1 on Saturday evening to complete the sweep and become Lakeshore Champions. The team went on an outstanding run, completing their 15 Lakeshore playoff games with an 11-3-1 record, including winning their last 6 games to defeat Whitby White in the semi-finals, and then Kingston in the finals.
As the clock ticked down to zero, the Gens collected Lakeshore gold with a dominant Finals series - executing on every offensive and defensive scheme and locking down a very strong Kingston team. Special thanks go out to the support of the parent group for a fabulous season, our video team (you know who you are :-) ) and to our coaches Nate Joy, Chris Laforge, Steve Vince, Stephen Kieley and trainer Dan McIntyre.
The Gens now move on to the Lakeshore/York Simcoe Challenge to be played in Whitby in mid-April, awaiting the winner of the Orillia-Aurora series.
