Congratulations to the Peewee AA team for their Gold Medal
performance at the CHE Lake Placid American Cup tournament this past weekend!
This past weekend, Oct. 12th-14th, the Peewee AA team went undefeated through round robin games and earned a spot in the gold medal championship. The Generals Beat Wonderland Wizard (Connecticut) 5 to 0, Syracuse (NY) 8 to 1, Chazy (NY) 7 to 3 and The Black Ice (Vermont) 7 to 2. The finals against The Wonderland Wizards was a close hard fought game with a 1 to 0 lead after the first period and being tied 1 to 1 going into the third. The Generals scored early in the third and played a strong defensive period for the 2 to 1 win.
Both goalies, Roman Verbaan and Holden Ranta, along with players Jake Shallow and Lucas Durham represented well in the skills competition. Holden came away with the win for the Goalie competition and Jake and Lucas won the relay race!
Big congratulations to Jake Shallow who also took home the Tournament MVP award!
The coaching staff couldn’t be any prouder of their team who has now won their first two tournaments of the year. They played as a team with lots of heart and determination to bring the Gold home to Oshawa!
