The Minor Midget AAA Oshawa Generals have advanced to the OMHA Semi Final round vs the #1 seed, Quinte Red Devils.
After defeating the North Central Predators in round 1, and the Central Ontario Wolves in round 2, the Gens will now face the #1 seed, Quinte Red Devils, who have also held down the #1 seed in Ontario rankings, for a good chunk of the year.
This should be an exciting series, with the Gens now going 11-1-0 since the new year kicked in. That one tie coming against Quinte back on January 19th. The winner of this series will advance to the OMHA Championship tournament, that is being hosted in Quinte, from March 6th-8th. With Quinte being the host team of the OMHA tournament, if they are to win this series, then the #4 seed Gens are guaranteed a 1 game playoff for the final spot to get to the tournament. That game would be against the loser of the other Semi Final match-up between #2 seed Whitby Wildcats and #6 seed Ajax Pickering Raiders.
