The new look Gens suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Whitby Wildcats in their home opener Sunday afternoon.

The Gens came out with a strong opening shift before succumbing to a barrage of constant pressure from the Wildcats, yielding 9 goals before the intermission, and eventually falling 13-0 to their geographical rivals.

N Hardy made 33 saves in the loss while T Turcotte made 8 saves in a brief stint in relief.
