The Gens won their second straight regular season game with a dominant 5-2 victory over the visiting Red Devils on Saturday night.
E Blouin scored his first two goals of the season - including the eventual game winner - to lead the Gens to a 5-2 victory on Saturday night. P Couvillon added another 2 goals and J Beaveridge added his first of the season, while N Hardy was rock solid in net, making 23 saves for the win. Captain E Davis, M Hutchings and B Strzelczyk each added 2 assists.
After allowing the first goal, the Gens responded within 2 minutes on Couvillon's first of the game from Strzelczyk and L Pye. Just two and a half minute later, Couvillon tallied again after a nice lead pass from Strzelczyk, with Hardy also drawing an assist. The Red Devilsscore late in the first to tie the game at 2 after the 1st.
The second saw some excellent goaltending, and some gritty play from the Gens, with Blouin tucking home a slick move after receiving a breakaway pass from Hutchings. Davis also drew an assist as the Gens lead at the intermission.
The Gens came out strong in the 3rd, fending off an early Quinte surge before Beaveridge added an insurance marker from Hutchings and C Peterson midway through the period. Blouin added his second, just 27 seconds later to finish the scoring from N Lenix and Davis
