It all comes down to the last game...
Right from the beginning we knew that it was going to come down
to the last game of Series C (4th vs 5th vs 6th vs 7th) to see who was going to
represent the ETA U12 AAA at the OMHA Championships March 31st in Oakville.
Three of the four teams finished the regular season all tied for fourth place with 40 points and the fourth team in the group finished with 38 points. We knew we were going to be in for an exciting playoffs right from the start! This group has certainly not disappointed. Close, hard fought games every time these teams stepped onto the ice. Not a single blowout in the group! In game one, Ajax/Pickering won a back and fourth game 4-3 in overtime. Game two saw the Generals defeat the Wildcats 3-0. Game three Oshawa beat the Petes 2-1. Game four, Whitby got some revenge by beating us in a nail bitter 1-0. In fact, after each team had played their first four games, this group was locked in a 4-way tie!!! Two wins and two losses each. This past weekend saw the Ajax/Pickering Raiders defeat the Whitby Wildcats 3-0 and your Oshawa Generals defeat the Peterborough Petes 2-1 in overtime! Knocking both Peterborough and Whitby out of the playoffs and setting the stage for a winner moves on game between Ajax/Pickering & Oshawa this Sunday March 26th at 12:30 at Campus Arena Pad #1. Come one, come all to cheer us on as we play for our ticket to the big dance!
