U15BB OMHA Championship Silver Medalist
Congratulations to the U15BB team on bringing home the silver medal at the OMHA Championship this past weekend in Windsor.

The team went undefeated in round robin play with a 5-2 victory over Lasalle and a 5-0 victory over Woolwich on Friday.  The lone game on Saturday saw the team earn a 2-1 victory over the defending OMHA champions Milton, making them the first-place seed in their group.  This set the team up for a semi-final game against Haldimand on Sunday morning.  It was an exciting and tense back and forth game, with the Generals coming out on top 4-3 to set up a rematch against Milton in the finals.  The championship game took on a different tone than the round robin game, with Milton obtaining a 4-1 lead in the first period.  Midway in the second period saw Milton go up 5-1.  The team refused to give up and showed their perseverance and determination by scoring two quick goals in the last minute of the second period.  The teams went into the third period with Milton up 5-3.  The third period was an intense back and forth with Oshawa getting another goal halfway through the third.  Milton held onto their lead against the Generals barrage, to earn a 5-4 win.

While the result in the final game wasn’t the outcome the team had hoped for, the players should be very proud of their accomplishment and successful season.

Thank you U15BB for representing Oshawa so well.

Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff for the dedication and resolve they showed throughout the tournament and this entire season.  Thank you to all the parents and families for a very memorable season!
