U12 AA December Month of Giving Back
December is the Month of Giving for our U12AA team. What does that mean? We want to be able to show our boys how to give back to the Oshawa Community and realize that there is more to representing your team and community. So many in our community have been affected by so many things, and it is time to help them out.
We have organized and partnered with other centres (teams we are playing and other Oshawa teams for our 3 December home games) + DRPS (Durham Regional Police Service) for 1 toy and 2 food drives throughout December.
Food drive:
Monday Dec. 5th vs. Peterborough
Toy drive:
Saturday Dec. 17th vs. Kingston
Food drive:
Tuesday . 20th vs. Clarington
We're hoping to have the team drop off December 22nd to a local food bank and want to encourage everyone to participate and give if possible. DRPS will collect and provide the toys to a local charity on Dec. 17th. We will be asking that each family brings a non-perishable food item to those 2 events and a toy/gift to the toy drive. We will also require volunteers to help collect the items at each event, so please advise if you are willing/able.
