Oshawa Minor to Pause Current Hockey Season
Based
on the announcement by the Ontario Government today Durham Region will be
moving into the Red Zone on Monday at 12:01am.
One of the guidelines within the Red Zone is we will only be permitted to have 10 people on the ice at any given time. Unfortunately, due to this restriction we have made the difficult decision to pause our scheduled ice times until we are removed from the Red Zone. This will mean there will be no ice time for any team beginning on Monday, November 23rd.
It is likely that we will remain in the Red Zone for at least the next 28 days which will bring us to December 21st. As we normally end our season on December 23rd for the Christmas break we hopefully will be able to start back up on January 2nd. Hopefully by that time we may be able to go back to something close to a regular season. Fingers crossed!!!! If for any reason we are able to resume our on ice activities before this date, then we will do so. Please keep in mind that there is usually a two-three day grace period given by the government when it comes to either shutting down or resuming activities.
