Gold and Silver Glory - U15A Shines in Back to Back Tournaments!
The CAN/AM Challenge Cup in Montreal was an incredible event that had the Generals’ fans on the edge of their seats! The Oshawa Generals U15A team dominated the tournament. Their consistent performance on both offense and defense set them apart, contributing to every victory. Having just come from a Silver Medal win at the Best of the Best Halton Tournament, these kids go for the GOLD!!!
Throughout the weekend, the U15A’s showcased exceptional teamwork, skill, and determination. Our Gen’s took 1st Place (Colton Adams) in the Goalie Division, 2nd Place (Vaughn Rockbrune) in the Shooter Division of the Shoot-Out Challenge, and 2nd Place in the Team Relay Challenge (Lucas Boucher, Felix Elliott, Kaiden Orth, and Devon Shetler).
Their goaltending was rock-solid, making key saves at crucial moments, only allowing 1 goal against them the entire weekend! The defense was tight, preventing the Wildcats, Rangers and Les Rapides from mounting significant pressure. The forwards displayed speed and precision, creating scoring opportunities for the 16 goals the team scored this weekend!
In the Final, Oshawa faced off against Les Rapides, but their relentless play and depth were too much to handle. The Generals clinched the championship with a well-deserved victory, further solidifying their place as the top team in the Savard Division. Fans cheered as the team celebrated their perfect run, having claimed the tournament title.
The Oshawa Generals U15A victory was a testament to their hard work, preparation, and team chemistry, leaving them as the undeniable GOLD MEDAL WINNERS of the CAN/AM Challenge Cup Montreal - 2024!!
