Oshawa Minor Hockey is where that journey begins. Since 1933, our association has been helping young athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the excitement of the game.
With our guiding motto “Building Character Through Sport,” we are proud to offer a positive and welcoming hockey experience for players and families in our community.
U9 Minor Development Program (MD)
- Oshawa Minor Hockey will field two U9 MD teams.
- Each team will receive 3–4 full-ice sessions per week.
- As per the Ontario Hockey Federation announcement, teams will be permitted to participate in full-ice tournaments and exhibition games beginning October 1.
- Goalies will receive weekly specialized instruction from an outside development vendor.
- Players will also participate in a weekly external development session to enhance skill development.
- Each team will be permitted to enter up to three jamborees/tournaments, along with a year-end final weekend in March.
- All teams will wear the Oshawa Generals home and away jerseys.
- Teams will compete against other OMHA associations in our region.

Registration Information
- Registration for U8 through U18 will open on April 1.
- The tryout schedule will be posted closer to April 1, so please check back regularly for updates.
