Oshawa MHA Mentor Role - Accepting Applications
Oshawa MHA will be implementing a coach/player mentor program for the upcoming 2016-17 season.  Applications are being accepted by submitting an online form - http://oshawahockey.com/Forms/3306/.

Role Overview
  • Runs for period of September 6 to January 31. (start of season to end of January).

  • Rate = $25/hr (all in rate).  ** includes on-ice, travel, taxes, Monthly All-Mentor Meetings, Practice Evaluation Form submission, and invoicing.

  • Focus on younger age groups - Tyke to Peewee (22 teams).  Would extend to older age groups (applicants and budget permitting).

  • Up to 4.5 hours per team per month.

  • Will select (or be assigned) to an age group.  Goal is to manage the mentoring across AE, A, AA, AAA and provide consistency and knowledge of age group.

Mentor Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Coaches while gaining knowledge of players.

  • Scheduling attendance times with Team Head Coach.

  • Attend up to 4.5 hours per team per month. Can be combination of practices and games.  Preference is practices.

  • Submitting online Evaluation Form after each team session. NOTE: this is based on the Hockey Canada Practice Evaluation template.

  • Submitting monthly invoices to Oshawa MHA Development.

  • Attending Oshawa MHA All-Mentor meetings (planned recurring monthly).
