Team rules – Additional to Oshawa Minor Rules
1. Promise to practice hard, play as hard as I practice
2. Win with pride, lose with dignity
3. Always lead by example, be a team player
4. Represent Oshawa minor with the highest level of conduct
5. Arrive for games and practices 45 minutes before. If you're running late please let your manager or the coach know a text or a phone call works best
6. Practices - Players are to be dressed in the Oshawa minor tracksuit bring running shoes for warm up
7. Games - Players are to be dressed in Oshawa minor track suit jacket, Dress shirt, Oshawa minor tie and dark pants. Have running shoes ready for warm up. Not having a proper attire you won't be able to play
8. Bring both jerseys to all games
9. Missing practice or tardiness results in loss of a period of play, Second time: two periods, Third time: results in a missed game
10. Respect your parents your coaches the referees and your teammates
11. We will not tolerate fighting amongst each other, pushing, shoving, name calling or making someone feel bad and profanity.
12. All sticks are to be kept in a stick rack until ready to go on the ice
13. Skate guards are a must.
14. Coaches only in the change room for both practices and games
15. Players are to be dressed 15 minutes prior to going on the ice *Bottoms on 15 mins proir
16. After a game or practice players are to remove helmets and gloves only to listen to the coaches
17. Parents Please allow a 24 hour window after any game or practice to email the manager with any concerns, problems or issues. Respect the parent code of conduct it will be followed. Don't be the problem be the solution
18. We won't tolerate sideline coaches
19 If a parent approaches the bench without being asked by the manager or one of the trainers your child will miss the next game
On Ice rules
1. When coaches are talking the players will be on one knee with open ears and eye contact
2. After you complete a drill players will go on one knee
3. Fooling around after a drill won't be tolerated. No shooting the pucks. If you're fooling around not listening, First time you will do a lap or side boards, Second time you and your line will do a lap or side boards, Third time the whole team will do sideboards, Forth time the pucks will be removed for next practice.
4. If I blow the whistle 3 times, do the spindle drill, if I blow the whistle one time change direction (Coaches will show)
5. 2 kids will pick up the pucks after practice. Goalies will pick the two kids
