U14 AA, U14, 2022-23 Season (Oshawa Minor Hockey)

On Saturday November 19th we took to the ice in Pickering to play the Ajax-Pickering Raiders. Our boys were a little slow to start the game and let the Raiders take the lead. We battled back and played stronger as the the game went on. A long awaited goal from #51 helped us swing the momentum, and a just in time goal from #91 at 1:35 left in the third tied the game up and left us with a 2-2 score. Shout out to all the players on the ice. Without your hard work and teamwork, we would not have been able to bounce back. 

On Friday November 18th, we headed to Cobourg to face Northumberland Nighthawks. We had three affiliate players join us for the game as we had players out due to injury and illness.  Once we got our feet under us, we really got rolling. Reilly started us off late in the first, Quinn deked through the Northumberland players to grab another goal, Hayden fired a cannon in his first game back in awhile. Ryan racked up two goals, Nolan added one, and our AP Jaiden netted a sweet shot to bring us to our 7-2 victory. Fantastic effort was put forth by all players - Cole had a great night in net, ...

November 12th we faced off against Whitby White at Delpark Homes Centre. It was a rough game with some hits from behind and a season altering injury to one of our players. Josh Starr is unfortunately out with a fractured collarbone. We wish Josh a speedy recovery and await his return to the ice with us. Despite this huge setback, our boys rallied and tied the game at 2-2. They dug deep worked together as a team and persevered when they needed to. Great work boys!

From November 4th - 6th, our team participated in the CCM World Invite tournament in Chicago. It was a fantastic experience for the players as they got to compete against some strong and talented elite teams from all over the United States. We came second in our pool winning 2 of our 5 games and remaining competitive in the 3 we lost. The boys worked hard, demonstrated sportsmanship and rose to the challenge when pushed. Monday October 31st It's always a good competition when Clarington comes to town! Our Gennies scored the first goal right off the first face off of the game. It was a close and hard fought game the whole way through. The Toros hung in and tied it up with eight seconds to spare just missing a shutout for Cole who gave an amazing display of talent in net.  There was a lot that didn't go our way during the game, but the team worked together, kept digging and demonstrated sportsmanship.
