The Minor Gens opened the Lakeshore final with a solid game in Kingston on Saturday afternoon. C Martin opened the scoring for the Gens early in the 1st before the Canadians tied it up. M Dearborn tallied for the Gens with just 30 seconds remaining in the first to give them momentum going into the 2nd. S Hull blasted home the eventual game winner to put the Gens up 3-1 and C Davies tipped one home for a 4-1 lead going to the break. The Canadians came out hard in the 3rd, but couldn't solve goaltender J Bryan until it was too late, grabbing one late in the 3rd, but falling short. O Dimanno added 2 assists, while R Kieley, A Cook-Thompson, S Whitters, and I Mckay also added helpers. Bryan made 17 saves for the victory.
