Atom AAA, U11, 2019-2020 (Oshawa Minor Hockey)

The Oshawa Generals Atom AAA team pulled off an amazing victory this weekend through their relentless hard work and team play!  In true fashion, the boys gave their biggest fans (and coaches) some intense, heart racing games including a 7-period semi-final game ending in a one-on-one player showdown!  The boys showcased incredible resilience and team work with 2 players scoring hattricks, each goalie earning a shutout, and great team defensive play throughout all 6 games.  Congrats to all the Players and Coaches on an incredibly successful tournament.

The outpouring of kindness and generosity for the Hardy family during this incredibly difficult time, has truly shown the meaning of what a Hockey Family is.  Teams from all over the hockey community have reached out to offer their support.  To the teams and families who have purchased bracelets and helmet stickers, we want to say thank you.  100% of those contributions went directly to the Hardy family. Special thanks to Frankie Littlejohn of Superior Edge and Robert Smith of Stick Bandits for creating, printing and distributing the helmet stickers.

The Atom AAA team had a special guest out to practice on Tuesday evening.  Team Canada,  Olympic gold and silver medallist, Jennifer Wakefield led the boys through an hour of power skating and then took some time out to discuss her experiences as an elite athlete and the importance of dreaming big, working hard and never giving up.  They even got to check out her Olympic medals! This was a fantastic experience for these young athletes.  Special thanks to the Campbell family for organising! "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?"
