Taming the Bulls
The Oshawa
Minor Generals, Minor Bantam AE team, continues to stun the crowd. Hot on the heels of winning gold at the
Oshawa Cup Tournament, they skated into the town of Belleville to take on the undefeated,
first place, Belleville Bulls, registering a 2-2 tie!
Our Gens were
missing their “super seven” skaters who were unavailable to lace up against the
Bulls, but – perfect execution of a fine strategy crafted by our outstanding
coaches, gave the “great eight” remaining skaters the confidence they
needed. Our classy matadors took control
the way Generals can, and tamed the raging Bulls who saw only Generals Red!
Supported once again by goalkeeping that resembled the “great wall”, the team put up a stellar performance which silenced the Belleville crowd. With dominating defense and fantastic forwards, our Gens became just the second team this season against whom Belleville was unable to record a win.
Next up, our Gens take to the ice against the only other team to avoid a loss against the Bulls…the Northumberland Nighthawks. The Gens defeated the Nighthawks twice already this season, convincingly, with our goalies each flirting with a shutout deep into the game, on both encounters. Marching into Northumberland down six skaters, our Gens expect to stretch their undefeated streak to five games.
GO GENS GO!!!!!
