The Oshawa Generals Minor Midget team is pleased
to participate in the remainder of Hunger Action Month in support of Feed the
Need Durham (a local Oshawa food bank).
September is National Hunger Month and Feed the Need Durham supports over 62 emergency food providers across Durham region. We want to help the nearly 500,000 people in Ontario expected to use the food bank over the next year.
If you would like to help, please drop off a non perishable food item to Campus Ice Center (2200 Simcoe St N). We will have a drop off box in the lobby of the rink from Sept 19 until Sept. 30th. In addition, the team is dedicating our next three home games in September to the effort. Generals parents will be collecting non perishable food items and/or a $1 donation (or donation of your choice) at the entrance to the games. Our next home games are Sept 18th & 25th Campus Ice at 8 p.m., and Sept 29th Campus Ice at 5 p.m.
We appreciate the community’s support. Together we can do our part to help them score a "hattie" against hunger.
