Mandatory Vaccine Proof For Oshawa Arena's
Reminder that beginning today (Sept 22nd 2021) the arenas in Oshawa will be requiring proof of full vaccination in order to enter. This is in line with the recent Provincial government vaccine mandate and is separate from the OMHA vaccination policy.
It will work as follows:
1. Everyone over the age of 18 will be required to show proof of full vaccination in order to enter both City of Oshawa facilities (Delpark, Donavan, Harman) and Campus Ice Centre or provide an approved accommodation/exemption.
2. Players who will be going on the ice between the ages of 12-17 (and anyone born in 2010 or later) are exempt from providing proof of vaccination status.
3. Youth between the ages of 12-17 who are entering the arena but NOT going on the ice or taking part in a sports activity will still need to provide proof of full vaccination.
Oshawa Minor has been informed that you will need to show your proof of vaccination, along with your ID and fill out the online screening before entering. Hopefully this will be able to be streamlined and made easier once the provincial system is up and running.
Players and coaches will be able to enter arenas first in order to get in on time and parents/guardians will enter after.
