The Gens started their playoff run with a hard fought loss to the Knights on Thursday night. In a tough defensive battle, Ajax scored the only goal they would need on a breakaway just past the halfway point of the period. The Gensran into a hot goaltender and were unable to find an equalizer before Ajax netted a pair of empty net goals to seal the victory. Andre Tremblay was solid in the Oshawa goal stopping 21 of the 22 shots her faced.
